8th Pan-Amazonian Oncology Congress

The Pan-Amazonian Oncology Congress, an event that takes place biannually in Manaus, Amazonas, is in its 8th edition and this year will take place on November 12, 13 and 14. This event is promoted by the Amazonas State Oncology Control Center Foundation (FCecon), is multidisciplinary and has consolidated itself as one of the most important spaces for the exchange of knowledge and learning in the field of oncology.

In 2023, we had the last edition of the Pan Amazonian Oncology Conference, which was attended by 750 people from several states in Brazil, including students and professionals in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, biomedicine, biology, physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition, dentistry, speech therapy, social work, and other fields of interest in oncology. To bring knowledge and innovation, we had 155 speakers, including 3 international speakers and 44 speakers from outside the state of Amazonas (26 lectures presented remotely/virtually live and 18 in person), in 3 simultaneous rooms. 77 e-posters and 12 papers in oral communication format were presented.

With a history of success in previous editions, the congress has attracted participants from all over Brazil, and in this edition, we seek to expand our reach even further, involving students, professionals and researchers from Latin America and the Caribbean. Dedicated to caring for cancer patients – a topic as sensitive as it is essential – we hope to surpass the milestone of more than 1,000 congress participants from previous editions.

Our main objective is to strengthen networking among participants, fostering collaborations and the exchange of experiences that are essential to overcoming challenges in the oncology approach. Aligned with global trends and with the vision that technological tools drive significant advances in health, the central theme of this edition will be:

“Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Creating Sustainability and Equity in Oncology”.

The 8th Pan-Amazonian Oncology Congress will be a unique opportunity to disseminate research, share successful experiences and increase the academic visibility of scientific works that dialogue with oncology in its various areas.
